About the Club
Charms is a therapy centre for people with multiple sclerosis and associated neurological disorders.
The club provides a number of services including;
- Medical assistance - The leading neurological consultants within Essex can be contacted at any time. Julie Kempster visits the centre on a monthly basis and is available to clients.
- Psychology and counselling - Ben Wright is a qualified psychologist and is able to offer assistance with managing cognitive, developmental, neuro-physiological, pathological and social constraints. Advice with lifestyle and confidence concerns is also available.
- Massage - Physical assistance, either physiotherapy or massage, is important in any neuro - rehabilitation programme and should only be undertaken by trained practitioners. Pat Aiken is our qualified masseur and a toning table and other aids are also available at the centre.
- Advocacy - Judith Wright is available to contact general practitioners, registered nurses, medical consultants or social services staff on any patient's behalf and also accompany patients to appointments.
